LaGrange Justice Court has jurisdiction over crimes (misdemeanors), traffic violations, small claims matters and landlord/tenant matters. On felony charges, the court conducts arraignment and preliminary matters. If the charges are not reduced to misdemeanors, the Town Court transfers them to Dutchess County Court for final disposition. Criminal matters are prosecuted by the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office. Traffic matters, Town Ordinances, and Violations are prosecuted by the special prosecutor. Entry to the Court is through the rear doors of Town Hall, parking is on the side and rear of the town hall.

The court sessions are as follows:

 

Every Tuesday commencing at 4:00 PM

First and Third Tuesdays – Criminal Calendar

Second and Fourth Tuesdays – Vehicle and Traffic, Civil, Small Claims
