New York State traffic courts normally allow attorneys to represent defendants with written authorization from the client, however, it is not so with Criminal Court where the Defendant’s presence is normally required. In both CT and NJ, Courts want the Defendant present in court, excepting special circumstances.

The Law Office of Harold Dee specializes in helping clients with traffic ticket violations and crimes since 1987.

Irvington was named after Washington Irving, the American author of “Legend of Sleepy Hollow” , who was a resident of the town. Jazz saxophonist Stan Getz is another famous resident.

The village of Irvington is located along the Hudson River, north of New York City in the Town of Greenburgh. The Irvington Town Hall Theater is an exact replica of Washington DC’s Ford’s Theatre. The Old Croton Aqueduct Trailway runs through Irvington.

Hours of operation: Clerk: M-Th 8-4. Session every Monday morning at 9:30 a.m. Small claims sessions are held on the 1st Tues of every month.

Criminal matters are prosecuted by the Westchester County DA’s Office or the Village Prosecutor. Local issues including traffic cases are handled by the Village Prosecutor.

Types of cases: Speeding tickets on the Saw Mill River Parkway along with criminal and Village Code matters, and small claims.

New York DMV doesn’t care how many miles a year you drive. The Sunday driver gets the same point allotment that a taxi driver receives. The Driver Responsibility Assessment is another surcharge on individuals who operate vehicles in N.Y. Now, if you are unlucky enough to have been found guilty of at least six points, all issued within the same 18 months, there is a DMV surcharge of $300.00 payable at once or at the rate of $100.00 annually. Failure to pay will result in a suspension of your license to operate in New York State. This applies to out of state motorists as well. To add insult to injury, there is an additional charge of $25.00 per year for each of three years for each point exceeding six. For example, if one were to accumulate ten points, the annual surcharge would be $200 or $600 over the three years. Taking the Driver Safety Course does not result in a reduction of the surcharge.

The Irvington Village Court  is responsible for all court matters including all moving traffic violations; civil matters, criminal cases, and small claims cases.

Mr. Dee a traffic ticket Attorney represents people charged with speeding and other traffic ticket violations and criminal offenses like DWI, AUO, (Aggravated Unlicensed Operation which means driving while knowing your license is suspended.), Operating a vehicle with a suspended registration (i. e., insurance cancelled), Vehicular Homicide or Manslaughter, and other criminal violations of New York’s Vehicle and Traffic Law. Harold Dee understands the legal system and employs his knowledge and skills in order to present the right arguments and defenses on your behalf.
