Town Court Directory – Yorktown Justice Court

Harold Dee, a former NYS Traffic Court Judge, specializes in defending motorists in New York State. The practice concentrates on violations of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law whether Speeding, Reckless Driving, Registration violations or Drunk Driving Defense (DWI) and all Vehicle and Traffic violations. There are two Town Justices who are elected to four year terms of office. The Yorktown Justice Court is a full time court, open 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, five days a week, where residents can pay for traffic fines, initiate claims, both civil and small claims, and receive transcripts of judgments, plus any advice relative to court procedures.

Several days a month are set aside where persons who plead not guilty to a traffic violation may have their day in court.

Types of cases include speeding tickets from the Taconic and Bear Mountain Parkways, as well as criminal, DWI and traffic cases. There is also a Juvenile Justice Program run through this court for offenders ages 16-19.

Yorktown Criminal Court is held Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 P.M., and traffic Court on Thursdays at 4:00 P.M.
