Pawling Town Court has jurisdiction over crimes (misdemeanors), traffic violations, parking violations, small claims matters and landlord/tenant matters. On felony charges, the court conducts arraignment and preliminary matters. If the charges are not reduced to misdemeanors, the Town Court transfers the case to Dutchess County Court for final disposition. Criminal matters are prosecuted by the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office. Traffic matters, Town Ordinances and Violations are prosecuted by the special prosecutor.

The Justice Court convenes on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 5:30pm and Thursdays at 5:30PM at  the courthouse located at160 Charles Colman Blvd., Pawling, New York

Keep in mind an accumulation of 11 points in 18 months or 3 speeds/misdemeanors in 18 months will cause license suspension/revocation.
