If you have a pending case in the Tarrytown traffic court, don’t risk your license. Call the experienced legal professionals at the Law Offices of Harold Dee.

Mr Dee and his team of family attorneys have represented thousands of motorists in traffic courts throughout the States of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut for violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Laws. Charges have ranged from: speeding tickets, traffic tickets, cell phone violations, DWI arrests, reckless driving, suspended operators and suspended registrations, and a host of others. Harold Dee can represent you in the Tarrytown Traffic Court if you have been charged with a moving violation, DWI or any other traffic related crime.

New York State traffic courts normally allow attorneys to represent defendants with written authorization from the client, however, it is not so with Criminal Court where the Defendant’s presence is normally required. In both CT and NJ, Courts want the Defendant present in court, excepting special circumstances.

The Law Office of Harold Dee specializes in helping clients with traffic ticket violations and crimes since 1987.

Tarrytown is located in Westchester County, NY and links Westchester and Rockland Counties together through the Tapenzee Bridge. Tarrytown has several highways running through it or around it such as I-87 (NYS Thruway), Rte 9, Cross Westchester Expwy, SprainBrook, Saw Mill, and Taconic Parkways. The Justice Court handles criminal cases, vehicle and traffic cases, parking tickets, and small claims/civil cases. Parking is located on the side of the municipal building. As you walk in the building, the court is directly in front of you, and the clerks office is to your left at the end of the hall. Criminal Matters are prosecuted by the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office. Traffic Matters are prosecuted by an Attorney hired by the village.

The court schedule is as follows:

  • Criminal Court is held every Wednesday at 9:00am

  • Civil/Small Claims Court is held every Thursday at 9:30am

  • Traffic Court, including parking matters, is held every Thursday beginning at 10:00am

  • Small claims matters can be heard, as needed, one Thursday a month

New York DMV doesn’t care how many miles a year you drive. The Sunday driver gets the same point allotment that a taxi driver receives. The Driver Responsibility Assessment is another surcharge on individuals who operate vehicles in N.Y. Now, if you are unlucky enough to have been found guilty of at least six points, all issued within the same 18 months, there is a DMV surcharge of $300.00 payable at once or at the rate of $100.00 annually. Failure to pay will result in a suspension of your license to operate in New York State. This applies to out of state motorists as well. To add insult to injury, there is an additional charge of $25.00 per year for each of three years for each point exceeding six. For example, if one were to accumulate ten points, the annual surcharge would be $200 or $600 over the three years. Taking the Driver Safety Course does not result in a reduction of the surcharge.

Mr. Dee A Tarrytown Village Court  traffic ticket Attorney represents people charged with speeding and other traffic ticket violations and criminal offenses like DWI, AUO, (Aggravated Unlicensed Operation which means driving while knowing your license is suspended.), Operating a vehicle with a suspended registration (i. e., insurance cancelled), Vehicular Homicide or Manslaughter, and other criminal violations of New York’s Vehicle and Traffic Law. Harold Dee understands the legal system and employs his knowledge and skills in order to present the right arguments and defenses on your behalf.
